October 27, 2004Time to move on...Live life without any regrets and whatever I had to do in the past few days, I don't regret one single bit of it even though it is probably one of the hardest things I had to do. The past few days have signified that I must move on in every way possible. In my life and this website. For the past 3 days straight, many things happened... I have been idling for the past months waiting patiently for something and a certain someone, but I think a few things that occurred in the past few days basically reminded me again why I have to move on even if I really don't want to. You know what I hate...I hate it when people think that they know what you want in life and do things that they think it is the best for you just to justify their own selfish reasons. So I'm going to leave tonight with the simple fact that I must move on...

October 26, 2004I dunno anything anymoreI think I'm going to be on cruise-control again for the next few weeks...I don't know what I just did and I don't really know what will happen and I don't really expect too much from the actions that I have taken, and from the noted pattern of things that happened so far this year, I can foresee crappiness! (if that makes any sense). I basically have VERY mixed FEELINGS about EVERYTHING! I can't decide on what to do or what not to do. I might seems so confident about things or have my minds set on things but those are just merely my outer shell...deep down inside I'm as lost as anyone you would find in a thick forest at night. There are so much feelings that I have deep down inside. I must admit that I have been going through life pretty carelessly and sort of mentally "drunk" for the past months and sometimes people can perceive it to be cool and that I'm OK...or whatever it might be...but in reality, I'm pooped. =[ Anyhow...sorry for the depressing post. Here comes the happier part that happened over the last weekend. Well I promised that I have tried my best to make it happy! JESSICA'S BIRTHDAY CLICK ON THE PICTURE TO GO THE GALLERY I got up around 4 PM...yes 4 in the afternoon...on Saturday and drove over to Pete's house for his little daughter's 2nd birthday. I was a bit late...but luckily nothing important happened yet until I got there! Pete and his wife told me that I ate almost everything there! But I could've sworn that I saved the 10 or so meatballs left for the late comers. I was being considerate! I only eat once a day for the past months....I don't feel like eating anymore...so I was pretty hungry and was prepared to eat a lot to make up for my missing breakfast and lunch! To make it short...one of my highlights of the evening was being called "Antie Marilyn" by little Jessie! hahaha....ok maybe that's not the highlight! But it's funny!!...anyhow...after the party, we played a little bit of Texas Hold'em Poker in Pete's Garage. Being the rookie that I am, to make the story short again, I beat out Francis' AK (Ace, King) with my Ace and 5 at the very end when he went all in! Won myself $60! I must admit that I had a pretty good night gambling with Pete's money...(he spotted me cuz I was broke after the Laughlin trip). Half way through the whole match...I've sort of realized that whatever hand I was dealed and if I have decided that I was going to win with it...then I will! Trust me, there are a few occurrences that the river card completed my Straight! There were about 8 or 9 of us that played and fortunately, I took 1st place, defeating Francis' super AK combo! Hehe...he was pretty pissed at me for the rest of the night! j/k The whole Poker match lasted about a little more than 2 hours long! Man that was intensed! There I go again...it has been about 30 hours since I last ate...and I'm not even hungry...I guess I will eat and make up for it sometime tomorrow. Anyways...be sure to click on the links below to see some more interesting stuff. AND CLICK HERE TO ALSO VISIT PETE'S GALLERY OF PICTURES AT THE PARTY (a bit different from mine)!

October 23, 2004I LoveYes I love clouds! They are so mysterious! Never two that are the same. They are so peaceful at times and other times they are just gorgeously playful. They give colorful textures to the blue summer sky and provide the much needed shades whenever it gets hot outside. The same cloud never exists more than once. I love taking pictures of them...especially when it’s pre-rain and post-rain outside. You will see the evident of this when you browse through my latest set of pictures that I took on my Laughlin trip last weekend. It's finally up with the titles ( Darren did all the job of titling...thanks man, appreciate it). Today’s dance class was... Today’s dance class was pretty intense! After two hours or so of dancing almost nonstop, the instructor has to introduce Swing Dance into the mix of already 4-5 different dancing techniques. Swing dancing when you are tired and half awake is such a bad idea! I still like Salsa the best…maybe it’s not as intense as Swing…and I like the music better…but I think I just need to get used to Swing dancing and stop mixing up steps between Swing and the others. Woah…teaching someone else how to dance is such a difficult task…some new girl visited our class today and while I was her partner…I had to practically teach her almost every single step that I have learned in the last few weeks…man! And the fact that I’m not a good teacher (“a table is a table”) doesn’t help the situation one bit! Anyhow, I think overall I did well at teaching her. My legs and feet are killing me right now but it’s all for a good cause! By the way, just want to say Happy 2nd Birthday to Jessica (Pete's daughter). I'll be taking plenty of pictures at the party.

October 21, 2004School is BLAH! Origami isn't!I hate school and I don't even like my major anymore...it's getting a little tedious...I should really take this time "off" to think about what I really want to do with the rest of my life or at least for the next 5 years. I feel like that I have been in school for such a long time already and it's time for me to move on and do something different like getting a real job or travelling...or maybe I should travel to Japan and teach for a year...or maybe I should just venture up into the mountains and live with the "Nature." Well anyhow, I got a chance to watch a great movie earlier tonight with a few friends, it's called "Swingers". A very insightful movie it is, especially for me if you know what I mean or if you have seen it before. The movie is very funny and I would recommend it to any guy. =] Anyways, onto something new...CLICK BELOW TO READ MORE Well, as I promised, here is the first set of the series of origami that I will post eventually. I spent a good amount of my life saving on this kit from San Francisco...which includes Devin's gas money for driving me to San Francisco and my flight tickets to Sacramento!!! And if you think that this is a copyright infringement then come and get me and my 20 or so bucks in my saving account (the aftermath of the Laughlin trip). Well...I've figured that I will share it with anyone who wants to make penguins, sea lions, whales, polar bears with me! Here are the instructions for the first of the series that I have folded and tested myself...Small Penguin. Leave me a comment if you have any problem with it. DOWNLOAD THIS MICROSOFT WORD DOCUMENT AND PRINT IT OUT AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS BELOW. ========================================= YOU CAN ALSO CLICK HERE TO GO TO THE GALLERY WHERE I HAVE PICTURES OF ME FOLDING IT FOR CLARITY CHECKS.

October 19, 2004Another DaySpent the better part of today resizing the pictures that were taken over the weekend...they will be up in about 20 hours as soon as Darren finds some spare time to title them...I'm pooped out for the night to start titling them. So tired! And tomorrow I won't have any time to title them either so Darren is going to have to take over on that part. As soon as they are up, I will put a link to them for you to see. Anyhow, I "hacked" (ok...maybe not but it's pretty complicated creating new accounts and modding the httpd.conf file) into the linux server at school again tonight and helped Jeremy (coworker) create his account on the server and install Wordpress for his new blog. I will put a link to his crazy blog as soon as we finish detailing it. Pete still has to finish incorporating the graphic part into Wordpress to customize Jeremy's blog to the fullest! Oh yeah! I will also try to put together my cool Penguin Origami Kit that I bought when I was in San Francisco...pictures of that will be up asap too! So a lot of stuff are coming up soon...so check back later. Have a good day and leave a comment just to say HI! I know you want to!

October 18, 2004I'm Back!Back from a 2-day trip to Laughlin with my old high school friends and Darren. I got back just in time of all the raining and storming here in southern California. It wasn't raining at all in Laughlin...a bit cloudy and that was it. I just realized that where I was at, was the Stateline between Nevada and Arizona...with that said, I haven't been interstate traveling since my Junior High years and that was quite a long time ago. Let’s see...Friday night...after my social dance class...Darren and I waited for Omar and Becca to pick us up at my house in the "LORD'S SLAVE" Civic (Matt's stepdad is a minister and it was his car). The drive up there wasn't too bad. We joked around to just about anything and everything and us four all had a blast. I don't think we've missed a single ethnic background that we didn't joke about. Even though the drive was dark and scary, Omar hit 100 MPH a few times as the car started to drift...we didn't even feel how fast it was going due the pitch dark condition outside on the Interstate 40 Eastbound. We stopped at a super expensive gas station in the middle of nowhere for an emergency refuel and paid $3.25 per gallon. Furthermore, we continued our quest toward the Riverside Resort right next to the Colorado River in Laughlin after the LORD'S SLAVE was refueled. Saturday, woke up around 10 AM and got ready around 11AM, went to lunch in the Riverside Resort where we stayed at (Riverside Resort was the first big hotel that was built by Don Laughlin who the city was named after). Then we went gambling at the BlackJack table and then onto the 3-card Poker. Everyone won a few on the BlackJack table (I didn't play). The 3-card Poker table was next, and this is where I gamble for the very first time at a casino for some hard cash. All I have to say is that I didn't do too well nor was everyone else...except for Kim...of course, she won at least 30 bucks here (of which later she won more too with it). We then went back to our rooms and took naps while Matt watched his Astros beat the Cardinals, Kim took her nap, Omar, Darren and I enjoyed the History channel. Becca, Angelic and her parents went to the Ghost Town nearby for some sightseeing actions (I think). Saturday night...we all went to the dinning place on the second floor in the Riverside Resort for some yummy prime ribs and all-you-can-eat salad bars. We waited for at least an hour and 15 minutes before we started complaining to get our table because it was sooooooooo crowded. After dinner, I followed Becca, Matt, Darren and Angelic to a country dancing club right inside of the Riverside. Hahaha...all I can say is that I was the only Asian guy on the entire dancing floor getting it on! Man I made such a fool of myself trying to line dance at some of the harder combinations of moves of which I was literally dragged in by Becca and Angelic. At one point, we were the only 3 in the middle of the dancing floor in the whole club line dancing...it's good that I won't ever have to see anyone that was in the club that night again. (Oh by the way, thanks to Omar for telling Becca that I know how to Swing dance after taking my social dancing class...hahaha...she almost dragged me out onto the dancing floor for that). Oh and also, Kim, Omar and Darren, I hope you guys enjoy my self-humiliating dancing that night. I hope I entertained you guys well. (Hip-hop dancing to the 80s music! hell yeah!) After the country club, we went to gamble some more and I lost some more! Kim was still winning for some reason! It's her first time at 3-card poker too. Amazing I tell you, she keeps getting pairs after pairs, flushes and straights! Omar, Matt, Darren and I didn't do too well at the tables...anyhow, we were just "depositing" our money for now...and in a few months we will come back and "withdraw" it...right? =] Satuday midnight, after concentrating so hard playing BINGO...we were all worn out completely...We got a chance to watch Darren's feasting on 3 hot dogs, and drank 2 Coors beer after the prime ribs dinner...It's spooky and shocking how much Darren can eat and how skinny he is, my guess is that he must have a biggo tape worm inside of him digesting all these food constantly. Next morning, we grabbed some breakfasts and headed back to Southern California. Went to Barstow and the it started drizzling outside. We were heading straight into a storm coming back to California again. The clouds were so beautiful in the Mojave Desert. I took over 300+ pictures over the weekend...will post it as soon as I resize them all. With the help of Darren, I have some video clips of me line dancing too! How GREAT! I might upload those one of these days if anyone wants to see it. So check back later...time to get some real rest in my comfy bed! GALLERY WILL BE UP IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.

October 15, 2004Yo YoI want a name like Yo-Yo...that's cool! People can call me yo yo! If you are bored and want to see some hot pictures of women...sort of...CLICK HERE - some pretty interesting conversations on there too! Anyhow, I was at work today for the longest time in quite a while...it's nice to catch up with some old coworkers. Social dance is coming up soon...too bad the female dance instructor won't be there this week...it's alright though...hopefully it will be as much fun as it has been for the past couple of weeks... Well...if nothing is crapping out before tomorrow night...around this time, I should be out of California for a little while...I will probably be back by Sunday night...then I probably have to head down to Irvine to pick up Devin (sorry dude...you are coming down here on another conflicting weekend...have a safe flight and fun time at Jessie's party, tell her that I'm sorry for missing her party too). Well Devin...I will be seeing you soon if Becca doesn't fall asleep at the wheel! Then I'll be heading out to Ontario Airport way early on Monday morning...wow it's going to be a looooooonnnnngggg weekend.

October 14, 2004Another Night OutIn the past few days, I have made a few important decisions that are gradually changing my life everyday...hopefully they are the best or at least better for me. I'll just leave it at that for now...I'll update once something good happens. As for today...I stopped by work earlier today and spent almost an hour there seeing coworkers that I haven't seen in a while...Then I headed to Irvine for my class. After class, I was hanging out with Warren at the ICS lab for a bit and then I later met up with Derek, Yoichiro over at Darren's apartment for a semi-BBQ. We had fun laughing at the two presidential candidates debating the heck out of each other especially Bush (he's just so funny in a bad way) while eating BBQ chickens. Darren's roomate, Nicole came back from work and joined us at the BBQ for a while. Later, Darren and I met up with Omar and Angelic at the Irvine Improv at the Spectrum to see Christopher Titus performing. I have never been to an Improv Comedy club...it's my first time. Christopher Titus was hilarous....hahaha...."I'm whitey and I apologize." I laughed almost the entire time during that 2 hours of comedy. For those of you who don't know who he is...here is his website Hahaha...when we left Darren's apartment, we sort of left all the messes there...later on the night, Darren got a pretty nasty and long voicemail about it from his other roommate, who is cute but so annoying! Darren...damn man, your #9 (she's rated 9 out of 10) roommate is such a PMS b*tch. You need to find a new place to live...thanks for the BBQ again though. Hahaha...she's so a #4 on my scale now for being such an annoying girl. BLAH blah BLah BLAH blah.

October 11, 2004StoriesAnother goal in life is to get a convertible...when I have enough money to spare of course!!! I was in a convertible today...it was great...it's totally a different experience! About two months ago, Pete asked me to sign on to freeipod.com and to put him down as my referrer. I was one of the six people that needs to sign up for some extra services on the freeipod.com site for Pete to receive his free ipod. Anyways, I decided to sign up for AOL Broadband as part of the deal because it has a 50 days free trial. Well...CLICK BELOW TO READ MORE ABOUT THIS... about two months later, during that period of time, I was pretty preoccupied with schools and a plethora of other unexpected things...I totally forgot to cancel it before the 50 days free period was over. One day, I opened up one of my credit card bills and realized that I was charged for the period after the free trial. Well...It doesn't matter though, it's only 25 bucks or so as I figured...anything for a friend...right? =] Anyhow...I decided to call AOL up today to cancel the service before they start charging me again for the second month period. Well...I got to speak to this nice girl for about 10 minutes and found out that she's going to the University of Arizona, Tucson. Nevertheless, I signed up for this AOL Broadband thingie for Pete's free ipod but really...I've never intended to use it in the first place. Well...to make the story short...I worked my magic...ok...not entirely...but nonetheless I got her to refund $25 back to my credit card for the past period and also a free extra month of service. CLICK HERE TO SEE THE PICTURES I think altogether, we lost about 100 bucks the whole day. Kim was actually the only one that won on her bets. She indeed won at least 50 bucks! As for me, I lost about 20 dollars...my life saving!!! I actually won on one of my bets! You would've been proud of me! On Race #6, there was this one horse that was bred by some asian dude...anyhow...the horse was getting some pretty low odd too so I figured if it loses...I would just have to blame on the Asians again!!! Haha I was telling Kim that in China...people don't have the time or place to breed horses! They breed humans over there! =] Anyways, I placed a bet of spread on the asian horse (Win, Place, and Show)! Darn asian horse came so close in Place but toward the very end, it fell short of it and came in Show (3rd place) and only won me $4.20. Toward the end of the day, I decisively pitched in some money with Omar and we went crazy and bet on freaking 6 combinations of quinella thinking that at least one of our quinellas would win us some good money. Hahaha! We lost all six quinellas...and I immediately proceeded to cry! Anyhow, besides losing on almost every single race bet...I had a lot of fun! Can't wait until the next time...probably in a few weeks...but this time I'm not down on stuffing all those food again at the Club House...I was soooo full (spinach cheese wraps...yumm!).

October 09, 2004Friday - *sighHad a long day again today...made a few phone calls...figured out a few things...consulted with a few administrative people...decided on a few things... I guess I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my life! Hope whatever I have decided and will decide in the following weeks will be for the best for me... 100.3 The Beat was at UCI today...saw Nautica DelaCruz and Steve Harvey earlier today on campus next to the admission building. I was too busy taking care of some business and didn't have a chance to get their autographs! Oh yeah, it's Friday and that means it's social dance time again! Had good fun today...we got to learn how to Salsa today...and I must say I was doing very well at it! My partner and I were pretty much in tuned dancing Salsa so it was pretty fun. As my instructor said...Salsa is Cha Cha without the last Cha! My earlier partner and I were put on the spot and we had to dance in front of the class for like a few minutes to remind the rest of the class what we learned last week. That was a bit embarassing but she and I managed!

October 05, 2004StatusI'm so stressed and so overwhelmed...so close to breaking down mentally and emotionally. I really hope I'm on the right path in my life...I think I need some counselings... Man, who would have guessed that I'd actually miss going to work now that I have school full time. Well it's not a real job to begin with but anyhow, it's much more therapeutic. Working at ULV is like my only escape from the daily life's rollercoasters.

October 02, 2004End of the First WeekSchool is tiring...commuting is even more tiring...nothing else to say about besides the fact that I'm really tired and should be getting some sleep soon. Don't want to mess up my sleeping cycles and all...you know? Attended social dance today...all I got to say about it...is that my legs' muscles are aching badly as I’m typing this! I'm getting so lazy nowadays...so if you want to read more about it...sort of...go to Darren's blog...he wrote a short paragraph about it...very concise and to the point! CLICK HERE Time to get some good rest before the homework craze that I have to do this weekend.

October 01, 2004How's School?AHHHH!!!! No comments on school! I'm seriously thinking about dropping out and try to go get my MBA or something like that...Comp Sci at UCI is soooo hard! Well it's not super incredibly hard (YET) but I personally think that we are being fed too much theory without much "action" if you know what I mean...and yes I mean "action" in all possible ways. Congratulation Pete...49 days more until Sydney is borned. Remember to invite me over so I can see if she will look like you or Jane this time. My high school friend Roddy is expecting a baby pretty soon too...within the next month or two...or so...that's what I heard from his sister. Maybe I should get married and have a baby soon too!!! *By the way, Jessie, if you ever read this...thanks for the pizza again...pool party was great! even though we've never gotten even close to the pool....and tell Nancy thanks for the cookies even though half of them were burned...err...I mean chocolatey.
