Another goal in life is to get a convertible...when I have enough money to spare of course!!! I was in a convertible today...it was great...it's totally a different experience!

AOL (for Pete especially)

About two months ago, Pete asked me to sign on to freeipod.com and to put him down as my referrer. I was one of the six people that needs to sign up for some extra services on the freeipod.com site for Pete to receive his free ipod. Anyways, I decided to sign up for AOL Broadband as part of the deal because it has a 50 days free trial.

Well...CLICK BELOW TO READ MORE ABOUT THIS...

about two months later, during that period of time, I was pretty preoccupied with schools and a plethora of other unexpected things...I totally forgot to cancel it before the 50 days free period was over. One day, I opened up one of my credit card bills and realized that I was charged for the period after the free trial. Well...It doesn't matter though, it's only 25 bucks or so as I figured...anything for a friend...right? =]

Anyhow...I decided to call AOL up today to cancel the service before they start charging me again for the second month period. Well...I got to speak to this nice girl for about 10 minutes and found out that she's going to the University of Arizona, Tucson.

Nevertheless, I signed up for this AOL Broadband thingie for Pete's free ipod but really...I've never intended to use it in the first place.

Well...to make the story short...I worked my magic...ok...not entirely...but nonetheless I got her to refund $25 back to my credit card for the past period and also a free extra month of service.

6 Quinellas!!! And we lost???

Today (10.9.04), I went to the Santa Anita Park Race Track with Omar, Kim, Matt, and Becca. We had great fun lunching up on the top level at the Club House Terrace and strategically betting on horses! We had an excellent view of the whole race track too...it was nice.

I think altogether, we lost about 100 bucks the whole day. Kim was actually the only one that won on her bets. She indeed won at least 50 bucks! As for me, I lost about 20 dollars...my life saving!!!

I actually won on one of my bets! You would've been proud of me! On Race #6, there was this one horse that was bred by some asian dude...anyhow...the horse was getting some pretty low odd too so I figured if it loses...I would just have to blame on the Asians again!!! Haha I was telling Kim that in China...people don't have the time or place to breed horses! They breed humans over there! =]

Anyways, I placed a bet of spread on the asian horse (Win, Place, and Show)! Darn asian horse came so close in Place but toward the very end, it fell short of it and came in Show (3rd place) and only won me $4.20.

Toward the end of the day, I decisively pitched in some money with Omar and we went crazy and bet on freaking 6 combinations of quinella thinking that at least one of our quinellas would win us some good money. Hahaha! We lost all six quinellas...and I immediately proceeded to cry!

Anyhow, besides losing on almost every single race bet...I had a lot of fun! Can't wait until the next time...probably in a few weeks...but this time I'm not down on stuffing all those food again at the Club House...I was soooo full (spinach cheese wraps...yumm!).

Hey Son, Could you call all my credti cards company so that I can have a free stuff. hihihih

Son - October 12, 2004 01:42 AM

Darren...heck yeah...I'm a thoroughbred for sure yo. Yeah at that moment...I was so stuffed on the food there that I wanted to run down to the tracks and race with the horses to work off my eaten food.

Pete...yeah I know you reminded me...and I even reminded myself too...but unexpected events have taken my focus away from the cancellation task.

Parnoto...sure...I'll call you credit card companies for you...hehe...even though I really don't think you need your limit increase or anything like that Mr. P-Money. You probably own several credit card companies yourself in Indonesia and the east side of Malaysia.
