Here are some souvenirs I got from participating in the 2006 Yahoo! Internal Hack Day. What I implemented was a little widget for the Yahoo! Widget Engine that sits conveniently on your desktop. This widget loads and displays the current recipe of the day that is on Yahoo! Food. The recipe search functionality is integrated into the widget. It allows the users to search for recipes of their choice without having to load up the browser separately. The widget also has a docking feature that is a screen real estate saver.
Unfortunately, I can’t publicly post any screenshots or a build of the widget since it is barely in its alpha stage (it was implemented in less than 24 hours). Maybe in the near future, we will see the widget being promoted on Yahoo! Food. =)
